Job Description
As an Machine Learning/Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the data and machine learning capabilities that power insights, forecasting, and scalable analytics solutions. You will work as a part of a software development team, collaborating with product management and developers.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to support analytics and machine learning workflows
- Build, train, and evaluate machine learning models for forecasting and analytics purposes
- Implement production-ready, end-to-end machine learning solutions and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into business processes
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability of ML systems in production environments
Practical Information
This is a permanent, full-time position. Start date is flexible and will be discussed individually.
Candidate can be based in Germany or Finland.
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in software development and/or machine learning model development
Practical experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines
Experience in cloud development
Experience developing, training, and evaluating machine learning models
Knowledge of modern best practices for data and software system security
Proficiency in English
Project-oriented mindset with the ability to manage own workload effectively
Strong team player, able to collaborate within a software development team
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Considered an Advantage
- Experience with cloud development, particularly Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with modern data management solutions, including Azure Fabric, Data Lake, and Lakehouse
- Proficiency in C# and Python
- Experience working with API- and microservice-oriented architectures
- Relevant higher degree is preferred but not mandatory
- Hands-on experience training, validating, and applying machine learning models to real-world problems
